A marker for temporal change on the coastal edge of the Gulf, the rising and receding tides, the seasonal turning of the wetland prairie grasses. The inevitable sea level rise will stain itself on the walls of this platform, the wall eventually sinking into the landscape.

Field notes

The Gulf Coast Design Lab spent an entire fall pre-fabricating a 100-foot wall and platform. Fifteen days on site followed, camping, staking, setting foundations, welding and decking among the grasses.
